About

Introduction

I am Teaching Assistant Professor in Writing Studies and Applied Linguistics in the Department of English at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

I earned my Ph.D. in English with a major focus on TESL from Oklahoma State University. I joined UNR in 2022 and before that, I spent one year at Santa Clara University and three years at the University of Virginia as full-time lecturer. My current responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching, supervision, and leadership.

I am an adamant football (soccer) fan and enjoy playing football in my free time.

As an applied linguist, I specialize in second language acquisition, task-based language teaching and learning, and multilingual and second language writing.
