Work with Me
How do learners develop as writers? What happens when cognition, emotion, and task demands intersect? And how can research help us better understand and support L2 learning?
These questions shape my work in instructed second language acquisition (ISLA), task-based language teaching (TBLT), and multilingual and L2 writing. I welcome opportunities to share this work through talks, seminars, workshops, panels, and research consulting.
Seminars & Workshops
I offer interactive seminars and workshops, online or in person, for teachers, researchers, graduate students, and academic programs.
Research Seminars
Focused discussions on Depth of Processing, task complexity, learner engagement, task motivation, cognitive and emotional processes, and L2 writing.
Research Methods Workshops
Hands-on sessions on research design, quantitative and person-centered approaches, writing-process research, and NLP-based analysis of learner writing.
Pedagogy Workshops
Practical, research-informed sessions on L2 writing pedagogy, task-based teaching, learner engagement, and cognitive and affective dimensions of instruction.
Sessions range from short, focused sessions to half-day and full-day workshops, with content tailored to the audience.
Invited & Plenary Talks
I give invited and plenary talks, online or in person, on instructed second language acquisition, task-based language teaching, L2 writing, learner engagement, individual differences, and cognitive and affective processes in language learning.
Research Consulting
I offer consulting on L2 writing research, research design, and methodology, including quantitative and person-centered approaches, writing-process research, and NLP-based analysis of learner writing. Consulting can support research questions, study design, analytical decisions, and interpretation of findings.
Who Can Invite Me?
I welcome invitations from universities, academic departments, research groups, professional organizations, conferences, teacher-development programs, graduate programs, and research networks.
Let's Work Together
