Research Highlights
As an applied linguist, I specialize in second language acquisition, task-based language teaching and learning, and multilingual and second language writing.
I am an applied linguist whose research focuses on instructed second language acquisition (ISLA), task-based language teaching (TBLT), and multilingual and second language (L2) writing. I am particularly interested in how cognitive and emotional processes interact during L2 learning and in how individual differences contribute to variation in learners’ writing performance. I also use NLP-based analytical tools to investigate learners’ writing behaviors and developmental patterns. A further strand of my work examines the role of task motivation and task engagement in the TBLT domain and how they affect L2 written production and development.
